Russian Hacker Vladimir Dunaev Convicted for Creating TrickBot Malware

Russian national Vladimir Dunaev, who played a significant role in developing and deploying the notorious TrickBot malware, has been found guilty by the US Department of Justice. Dunaev is said to have made contributions that helped in stealing credentials and data mining from infected computers, facilitating remote access, and evading detection by security software. He awaits sentencing in March 2024 with a potential maximum jail term of 35 years.
