Google Fights Scammers Using Bard Hype To Spread Malware

Google is suing unidentified individuals believed to be based in Vietnam for tricking people into downloading malware disguised as its generative AI service, Bard. The scammers, exploiting the hype around generative AI, set up social media pages and advertised downloadable malware which steals users’ social media credentials. They notably used Facebook for distribution.
