Cyber attack on IT supplier hits two major ambulance trusts

UK ambulance services in southern England were forced to use analogue systems after a cyber attack disrupted access to patient record systems run by Swedish supplier Ortivus. The systems were offline while work was carried out to restore them, but no patients were directly affected by the incident. The attack targeted MobiMed, a system used by over 12,000 paramedics in 2,700 ambulances. The identity of the group behind the attack is still unknown.
