After Log4j, White House fears the next big open source vulnerability

The White House has called a meeting with Apache, Google, Apple, Amazon, and other tech giants to discuss software security in the wake of the Log4j vulnerability. The meeting, seeking to address national security concerns over foundational open source software being maintained by volunteers, includes officials from IBM, Microsoft, Meta, Linux, and Oracle, and government bodies like the Department of Defense and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
