Samsung Electronics Runs Defense System to Ensure Cell Phone Security

Samsung is mobilising all means available, including AI, social media and bug bounty programmes to counter smartphone security risks. Ahn Gil-jun, head of security at Samsung Research, revealed the company’s mobile security strategy to over 1,400 participants of the Samsung Security Technology Forum 2019. Samsung Knox is a platform built to defend against cyber attacks on smartphones. Other security measures include software obfuscation technology, network intrusion detection software and an AI threat analysis system.
