NHS has repeated data breaches
Big Brother Watch has revealed that there are nearly 2,500 breaches of confidentiality by the NHS each year. The privacy campaign group claims personal data has been stolen, incorrectly sent or inappropriately posted on social media, and has called for better training within the NHS and custodial sentences for serious offenders. Of the 7,255 incidents reported between April 2011 and April 2014, most resulted in no disciplinary action.
