Russian Programmer Pleads Guilty to Trickbot Conspiracy

Russian man Vladimir Dunaev has pleaded guilty to charges of using his programming skills to create the Trickbot malware, causing cyberattacks on hospitals, schools and businesses resulting in significant losses. Dunaev was extradited from South Korea and could face up to 35 years in prison. Many other individuals linked to the Trickbot operation are suspected to be still on the run.
