Trojan-proxy based on macOS piggybacks on cracked software

Cracked applications recently found on unauthorized websites contained a macOS trojan-proxy, according to Kaspersky researchers. These apps, available as .PKG installers rather than disk images, can launch scripts and are used by cybercriminals to create a proxy server network, perform illicit activities, and anonymize their actions.
