Software Vendor Attack Slows Down 2 UK Ambulance Services

A cyberattack on Swedish digital health records provider, Ortivus, has forced paramedics from two National Health Service (NHS) ambulance services in the UK to revert to using pen and paper. The affected services are the South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust and South Central Ambulance Service Trust, which serve around 12 million people. Ortivus has initiated an interim IT system, but it awaits approval from NHS officials.
