Walk-Through Metal Detectors Are Very HACKABLE, According To Researchers : Tech : Tech Times

Walk-through metal detectors have multiple security flaws that can be exploited by hackers, according to Gizmodo. These machines, produced by US-based company Garrett, use an iC module which can be manipulated for illicit purposes. Security firm Cisco Talos identified seven vulnerabilities in specific Garrett models, though Garrett has reportedly remedied the issues. Despite the potential risk, experts believe chances of hackers actually tampering with these machines are low.
