A Stealthy Multi-Platform Malware Leveraging NKN for DDoS Attacks
NKAbuse, a new multi-platform malware, exploits New Kind of Network (NKN) technology, a decentralized blockchain-based protocol, to conduct distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Further complicating cybersecurity, where it is primarily targeting Linux systems, NKAbuse utilizes the blockchain to obfuscate the source of the attacks in regions like Mexico, Colombia, and Vietnam. Additionally, NKAbuse can act as a remote access trojan (RAT), making it a formidable and adaptable cybersecurity threat.
