Researchers from Kaspersky’s Global Emergency Response Team have identified a new multiplatform malware threat, named NKAbuse, that exploits the peer-to-peer New Kind of Network (NKN) protocol to launch various attacks, including distributed denial-of-service and remote access trojan attacks. The malware targets Linux desktops and can infect Arm and MIPS systems, potentially threatening IoT devices. It uses the NKN for peer data exchange and can infiltrate systems by uploading an implant to the victim host.
