Russian APT28 Hackers Targeting 13 Nations in Ongoing Cyber Espionage Campaign

The Russian hacking group APT28, also known as ITG05, is conducting a cyber espionage campaign that utilises context related to the Israel-Hamas war as a lure. The threat actors are targeting entities in 13 countries, including Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Germany. Decoy documents associated with the UN, the Bank of Israel and the European Parliament are circulated to gain access into victim’s accounts and have a direct influence on international policy creation.
