MongoDB hack compromises customer data

US database firm MongoDB suffered a breach compromising customer metadata and contact details. The breach was first identified on 13 December and immediate action was taken. An active investigation is underway. MongoDB has reported an uptick in login attempts, unrelated to the breach, which affected access to MongoDB Atlas and Support Portal.
