Bad news – infamous Qbot malware appears to have returned once again

Cybersecurity experts warn that the QakBot malware, which was originally designed to steal banking service login credentials, is being distributed in phishing emails within the hospitality industry. Posing as IRS employees, the hackers are sending PDF files that, when downloaded, launch the malware into the system’s memory. Despite a successful FBI-led action to dismantle QakBot last summer, the malware appears to be actively developed again.
