Iranian Hackers Targeting Defense Firms Using New Malware: Microsoft
An Iranian cyber-espionage group, Peach Sandstorm, has been targeting thousands of defense companies with malware named FalseFont, according to Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence team. The malware allows remote access to infected systems, enabling the extraction of sensitive information. Microsoft advises targeted firms to reset passwords, revoke session cookies, and transition to passwordless primary authentication methods as protective measures.
