Android users warned over dangerous malware that can bypass your passcode and track your app usage

Researchers have discovered a new Android malware, Chameleon, which can bypass fingerprint locks to steal sensitive information from smartphones. The malware disguises itself within the device, recording data like app usage, messages and banking details. Chameleon is spread through phishing attacks or downloads from third-party app stores. Protection measures include installing apps only from the Google Play Store, avoiding suspicious email links, utilising a security app, and ensuring your device has the latest security patches.
