New Android Malware Xamalicious Discovered, Avoid Downloading These Apps to Stay Safe
Android malware ‘Xamalicious’ has infected about 338,300 devices through apps on Google Play Store, according to McAfee researchers. Although the infected apps have been removed from the store, users who installed them should delete them immediately. The malware is also being spread via unofficial third-party app stores. Users are advised to download apps only from official stores, check app permissions, update their devices regularly, install security software, and avoid third-party stores.
