Researchers released a free decryptor for Black Basta ransomware

Independent security research and consulting team SRLabs has released a suite of tools that allows decryption of data encrypted by the Black Basta ransomware group. This follows the discovery of a vulnerability in Black Basta’s encryption algorithm. However, the decryptor only works for files encrypted before December 2023 as the ransomware group has since fixed the vulnerability.
