US will conduct nationwide test of Emergency Alert System across ALL cellphones, TVs and radios at 2pm on October 4th

A nationwide test of the U.S Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts is scheduled for 2:20pm ET on 4 October. Conducted by FEMA and the FCC from WEA and EAS respectively, the alerts, in English and Spanish, will be sent to all electronic and wireless devices to ensure such systems’ effectiveness in warning the public during emergencies.
