NHS data stolen in Manchester Uni ransomware attack

A ransomware attack on the University of Manchester has resulted in stolen personal data from over a million NHS patients. The University, which held the data for research, reported that the compromised information includes NHS numbers and partial postcode details. Students have also been targeted. The attack was initially identified in June and it is still unclear who is behind the breach.
