CISA warns of high-risk cyber vulnerability for Medtronic cardiac device data management system

The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has warned of a substantial risk of cyber vulnerability in the Medtronic’s Paceart Optima System, used to manage patients’ cardiac device data. Medtronic recommends immediate system updates to v1.12 to combat the risk and advises contacting them for an upgrade. CISA suggests organisations manually disable the Paceart Messaging service in the meantime.
