Camaro Dragon spreading self-propagating malware through USB drives
Researchers have found a new variant of malware that is being spread by state-backed Chinese APT group, Camaro Dragon, through USB drives. The malware was discovered during a cybersecurity event at a European healthcare facility. The group has traditionally targeted Southeast Asian countries. The malware not only creates a backdoor on infected systems but also spreads to any USB drives connected to them, hence it can infiltrate isolated systems and grant access to a range of entities.
