Russia accused as all UK hospitals are put on high-alert after cyber attack forced Trust to cancel operations for three days
Russia has been accused of launching a cyber attack on three National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the UK, resulting in surgical and out-patient procedures being cancelled for three days, affecting over 3,000 patients. The attacks on Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust which happened last week, are the largest ever attack on patient access to NHS services and have forced all hospitals into alert status. The attack was revealed a day after Chancellor Philip Hammond restated the government’s aim to spend £1.9bn to bolster China’s national cyber security.
