Syrian hacker group Anonymous Arabic is distributing a powerful remote access trojan named Silver RAT, capable of bypassing antivirus software and covertly launching hidden applications and keyloggers, and destroying system restore points. Security experts also reported an encryption feature using ransomware. Although currently a Windows-based threat, anticipation builds around an Android variation. The developer, noradlb1, is active on prominent hacking forums and maintains a presence on social media platforms including Telegram.
