1.3 Million FNF Customers’ Data Potentially Exposed in Ransomware Atta

Fidelity National Financial (FNF) has confirmed that data from 1.3 million customers may have been exposed during a 2023 ransomware attack by the ALPHV/BlackCat group. Following a forensic investigation, FNF said the non-self-propagating malware had accessed certain systems and transferred certain data. The firm is offering potentially impacted customers credit and web monitoring services, and identity theft restoration services, and says no customer-owned systems were directly affected. FNF is currently facing multiple related lawsuits.
