Alexandra Hunter, a virtual care consultant at Henry Ford Health, has urged hospitals and health systems to develop a digital equity strategy to ensure telehealth services are accessible to all. Speaking ahead of the HIMSS 24 Global Conference, Hunter said addressing digital literacy barriers and broadband access is key to improving health outcomes. She also highlighted the importance of building patient technical support roles and creating digital literacy programs for older adults.
