NHS Digital signs deal with Microsoft to boost protection against cyber attacks

NHS Digital has signed a deal with Microsoft, which will see the software giant provide greater protection from cyberattacks on the UK’s health service. The deal came into effect after a successful trial of the programme with the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. The technology has been deployed on 30,000 devices and could eventually cover up to 1.5 million across healthcare, including hospital trusts and GP practices.
