Multiple Torbay Hospital NHS breaches investigated

Health regulator, Monitor, is investigating Torbay Hospital’s multiple breaches of NHS targets. In the last financial year, the hospital only achieved the non-emergency patient treatment target of 18 weeks in October. Torbay Hospital also failed to hit the target of seeing 95% of A&E patients within four hours every month. South Devon Healthcare NHS Trust cited “unprecedented high levels of demand for services” as the problem.
