Number pinged by NHS Covid-19 app falls significantly

The number of Covid-19 app alerts fell by 43% to around 396,000 in England and Wales in the last week of July. The number of people who reported symptoms also decreased, and the total number of check-ins to venues using the app dropped by 65% to 2.4 million. However, the government is urging the public to continue using the app.
