Stafford Hospital deaths: NHS Trust facing heavy fine after admitting health and safety breaches

Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation has pleaded guilty to four counts of failure to conduct a proper risk assessment and in failing to identify controls to prevent falls, which resulted in the deaths of four patients between 2005 and 2014. It also apologised to the bereaved families. The case will be heard at the Stafford Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
