Barracuda Network services ‘remain at risk’, says FBI

The FBI has issued a warning over a vulnerability in the Email Security Gateway (ESG) appliances of IT vendor Barracuda Networks, despite patches being issued in May. Security firm, Mandiant, has identified Chinese cybercriminals, suspected of working for the Chinese government, as exploiting the loopholes in Barracuda’s ESG. Barracuda’s clients include Kraft Heinz and NHS Scotland.
