Smart pumps now have “right patient” checking

San Luis Valley Health (SLVH) has enhanced patient safety and improved nursing workflow by implementing an admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) interface on its Ivenix infusion pumps. This allows the infusions pumps to interface with electronic health records, significantly reducing medication errors and nursing time. The interface also allows more comprehensive monitoring of infusion status and medication compound times, potentially providing financial benefits for the hospital.
