Healthcare data breaches on the rise

The Covid-19 pandemic offered new opportunities for cybercriminals, a report from risk protection vendor Constella Intelligence shows. There was a 51% hike in leaked records from the healthcare sector, compared to 2019, despite the sector making up only 3% of the breaches identified. Some 60% of data breaches across sectors exposed personal data and 72% included passwords.
