Hackers may have accessed confidential NHS Dumfries and Galloway patient data

NHS Dumfries and Galloway has been attacked by hackers who may have gained access to significant quantities of patient and staff data. Investigations are ongoing and the health board warned of potential disruption as a result of the attack. According to MSP Colin Smyth, the priority should be minimising impact on patient services and informing those potentially affected.
