Minister blames North Korea for NHS cyber attack

The UK’s security minister Ben Wallace has blamed North Korea for the WannaCry cyber attack. In an interview on BBC Radio 4, Wallace said that North Korea, widely seen as economically isolated, could have been looking to use the ransomware attack to gain funds. As previously reported, WannaCry was used to infiltrate parts of the NHS, and may have been prevented if basic IT security measures had been followed.
