Healthy datasets are the cornerstone of effective AI initiatives
Healthcare providers are eager to embrace artificial intelligence (AI), but most struggle with unprepared data, according to Richard Cramer, chief strategist for healthcare and life sciences at Informatica. Speaking at HIMSS24, he said that the industry should focus on generating “accessible, trustworthy, fit-for-purpose data”, rather than launching directly into AI initiatives. Transparency is key, he added, to ensuring that data can be trusted, even if it’s not perfect.
