Ransomware group releases NHS Dumfries and Galloway patient data

A ransomware group has released clinical data pertaining to a small number of patients following a cyber-attack on the NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s IT systems earlier this month. The attackers, who claim to have accessed three terabytes of sensitive data, posted a proof of some of the data, confirmed to be genuine by the NHS board. The attack was made public on 26 March, although no deadline for a ransom payment has been provided.
