NHS patients’ confidential data published by hackers in cyberattack

Hackers named INC Ransom have published three terabytes of confidential data from NHS Scotland. The group, which started operating on the dark web in 2023, released “proof” of the data as evidence. Jeff Ace, CEO of NHS, described the act as “deplorable” and assured that NHS Scotland, the National Cyber Security Centre, and Police Scotland are working together in response to the incident.
