NHS Scotland confirms ransomware attackers leaked patients’ data

NHS Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland has experienced a cyber attack by a well-known ransomware group, which compromised a significant amount of data including personal patient and staff information. The group threatening to release the data is pressing for a ransom, and the organisation is working with the Police and other agencies to respond to the situation. The attack has not spread to the rest of NHS Scotland.
