Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms
Hackers group INC Ransom claims to have stolen three terabytes of data from NHS Scotland, which has been confined to one health board. The group allegedly posted proof of the stolen data. NHS Dumfries and Galloway CEO Jeff Ace confirmed the authenticity of the data and said patients affected will be contacted. There has not been any disruption of patient services, and the situation is currently under investigation.
