WHO offers genAI health assistant with enhanced empathetic response

The World Health Organization (WHO) has expanded its AI assistant, S.A.R.A.H., developed in collaboration with New Zealand-based Soul Machines, to help prevent diseases like cancer and heart disease. Built on modeling human interactions and using machine learning to improve over time, S.A.R.A.H aims to fill healthcare gaps and provide personalized health guidance globally. However, accuracy may sometimes be compromised as responses rely on patterns in training data, the WHO warned.
