Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

A group claiming to be the hackers behind a recent cyberattack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway have posted what it calls a “proof pack” of stolen data. The Scottish health board confirmed the data was genuine but said the situation had been contained. The government denied the Scottish NHS as a whole had been impacted. The incident is under investigation by Police Scotland and the National Cyber Security Centre.
