Ex-Uber security chief sentenced over covering up hack
Former Uber chief security officer, Joseph Sullivan, has been sentenced to three years probation for covering up a cyber-attack and paying hackers $100,000 (£79,000) to keep quiet about accessing 57 million records of Uber customers. Additionally, Sullivan was charged $50,000 fine and 200 hours community service. Prosecutors initially wanted a 15-month prison term.
