NHS board warns patients of further data leak two weeks after cyber attack

The NHS Dumfries and Galloway board has issued a warning about potential further leaks of personal data following a major cyberattack, in which a large amount of confidential data was stolen. The cybercriminals, INC Ransom, threatened to release three terabytes of stolen patient and staff data. There is a “risk of publication for further data” and patients and staff are advised to stay alert for any signs of data misuse.
