The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received $5 million in federal funding to boost cybersecurity in the energy sector. Provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, the award was made possible due to legislation written by U.S. Senator John Boozman. The university will collaborate with a group of partners to improve cybersecurity education, threat analysis, and launch an innovation startup program for the energy sector. The program also aims to recruit and train professionals to safeguard critical energy networks.
