Over a million NHS users have data leaked following ransomware attack

The University of Manchester suffered a ransomware attack, resulting in the exposed details of 1.1 million NHS patients across 200 UK hospitals. Major trauma patient data, patient numbers, and part of postcodes have reportedly been leaked. This data was used for research and the source of the attack has not been determined. NHS has not commented publicly on the breach.
