Patient data held by hacker group after cyber attack, health board confirms

The hacker group INC Ransom has posted proof on the Dark Web of its claims to possess a small number of NHS Scotland patients’ data, following reports of a cyber attack. The release of confidential patient data has been deplored by the NHS Dumfries and Galloway health board and patients affected will be contacted. Police and cybersecurity organisations are investigating the attack.
