Scots health board patients warned to be alert after hackers publish details on dark web

Hackers have released a large volume of patient data from NHS Dumfries and Galloway on the dark web. The group warned earlier that they would release the data if they were not paid. The health board’s new CEO, Julie White, called the attack an “utterly abhorrent criminal act” and said work is ongoing to assess the situation with other national agencies.
