Cloud-based AI services could help fight health misinformation

Several major universities are collaborating on a platform, Project Heal, designed to combat health misinformation. The platform employs machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics to detect and classify misleading healthcare information before it spreads. Misinformation related to healthcare, particularly around COVID-19, is estimated to have cost between $50 million to $300 million per day in 2021. Project Heal is intended to help public health officials address misinformation proactively.
